Our committed KUSD staff and administration are actively working during the summer break to create even more engaging and interactive learning experiences for our students! 🍎📝 While our students enjoy their summer vacation, some of our staff members are diligently preparing for the upcoming school year by participating in Mindset Training!

Field day for both elementary and middle schoolers last week. Go Panthers! Thank you to Golden Valley Fire Department and PTVO for all your help and volunteering to make this a blast for the students!

🎉 Last week was all about celebrating our amazing Special Education team during SPED Staff Appreciation Week! 🎉 We rolled out the red carpet for our incredible staff from ALL schools within our district with delicious treats, fun raffles, and some fabulous gifts. 📣A special shout out to Anderson Auto Group and Andrea Foote for their generous donation that helped make this celebration possible! 💝✨ To our special education warriors: your hard work and unwavering dedication to our exceptional students don't go unnoticed! Black Mountain Student Council attending the Arizona State Student Council Team Building Retreat. Next year they are working on getting a Honors Award! Set big goals and you will accomplish great things. Go Panthers!

This week, members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) visited Black Mountain Schools. DAR is a non-profit, lineage-based organization for women who are direct descendants of patriots from the American Revolutionary War. They focus on promoting education, patriotism, and historical preservation. 📚They generously donated books to their library and shared an engaging reading of an American History book with our students. A huge thank you to DAR members Jaclyn, Nancy, and Rachel for taking the time to speak with our students and lead activities about the Revolutionary War. We appreciate your support and dedication to educating the next generation! 🇺🇸

Several Black Mountain staff members attended the AAGT Conference in Mesa, AZ. Together, they immersed themselves in insightful discussions and innovative strategies, all aimed at enhancing the support they provide to these exceptional young minds.
