This week, members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) visited Black Mountain Schools. DAR is a non-profit, lineage-based organization for women who are direct descendants of patriots from the American Revolutionary War. They focus on promoting education, patriotism, and historical preservation. 📚They generously donated books to their library and shared an engaging reading of an American History book with our students. A huge thank you to DAR members Jaclyn, Nancy, and Rachel for taking the time to speak with our students and lead activities about the Revolutionary War. We appreciate your support and dedication to educating the next generation! 🇺🇸

The 8th Grade Showcase at White Cliffs Middle School this year provided an incredible opportunity for 8th graders from Kingman Unified School District, as well as from Yucca, Valentine, Cedar Hills, and Emmanuel Christian to explore Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways. Students had the chance to interact with peers already enrolled in these programs and engage in hands-on activities, including welding. This event was a valuable experience for introducing young learners to potential career paths and practical skills.

Today, our schools took a moment to remember the significance of September 11th - Patriot's Day. 🇺🇸 It's important for our students to understand the impact of this day in history. At Black Mountain Schools, students engaged in art projects to commemorate this day. It's heartwarming to see our young ones paying tribute in their own creative ways. Let's continue to educate and honor the memory of those affected by the events of September 11th. #KUSD20 #KingmanUnifiedSchoolDistrict #KingmanAZ #BlackMountainSchool #NeverForget #September11 #EducationMatters 📚

Hello Kinder Parents! Big shout out to your students as they have successfully made it through the first three weeks of school. We understand some of the children may be still working through seperation anxiety in the mornings. All we ask is that those of you that are still having to walk your students to class in the mornings, please be working on creating the separation as they will need to get to their classes next year on their own. Parents if you are going to sit and eat breakfast with your child , please come through the front doors and sign in and put a vistor tag on. Once you are done with breakfast go back to the front table to check in with whomever is watching the doors before going to the kindergarten classes. Please do not go through the back hallway of the gym to get to the Kinder classes. Please when you take your child to the classroom, try and limit the time you stay as the londer you are around the harder it is to get them to become okay with being here without you. We thank you for your help in getting your child to the next level of development, as a team we will accomplish many great things!
